VIVID Sydney – May 27 to June 18

See Sydney in a sparkling new light during the annual Vivid Sydney, which sees the world’s best designers and artists transform the city. Visitors can catch stunning images projected onto the Sydney Opera House, control the lights on the Sydney Harbour Bridge, play with interactive light sculptures, experience great music and hear inspiring talks. Explore the cities warmth and atmosphere during one of the largest events of the year. Dining venues will be flourishing as the harbour city shines during this month (literally).

Hunter Valley Wine & Food Festival – May to June 2016

The Hunter Valley is a region known for its delicious wines and scrumptious food. The region is renowned for its outstanding local produce, friendly atmosphere and tours. Throughout the month of May in the heart of the Hunter Valley – Pokolbin, you can enjoy everything this region has to offer in the form of wines and foods from over 100 wineries throughout a massive 70 events. Take this opportunity to taste food from some of the regions best chefs, take interactive classes and enjoy the regions hidden gems with more events then ever before.


Nabilil Dreaming Sunset Dinner Cruise – June to August 2016

Heading to the territory? Or you may be there already. Either way you do not want to miss this! Sit back and relax as the tranquil surroundings transport you into a spiritual world of the Jawoyn culture and history. Discover the stories and ways of the Jawoyn people against the magnificent backdrop of the Nitmiluk Gorge, changing colour with the setting sun. Tour includes a three course candle light dinner, featuring fresh, local Australian produce cooked on board, and a complimentary glass of sparkling wine.


Tasting Australia – May 1 – May 8

From paddock to plate, Tasting Australia is bringing South Australia’s produce and real food heroes to Adelaide. As a bustling CBD its hard to remember that most of the food and wine you drink is from your backdoor. A boasting calendar of events – May 2016

The sunshine state keeps on shining with a bucket load of Food and Wine events throughout the state this month. Do you want to be part of paradise’s longest lunch? Hit up Noosa for the Food and Wine Festival this month or celebrate Mother’s Day on the river. This month Queensland is showing off its Food and Wine at a multitude of events and locations.


Truffle Kerfuffle – June 24 to June 26

The West is known for its delicious truffles. During June head out to Truffle Country and celebrate the season of truffles! Truffle Kerfuffle is a not-for-profit community event which is now a highlight on the tourism calendar for locals and tourists alike.


Eat Street Melbourne – May 24

Foodies Unite! This event is a one stop shop for Melbournites. Head over to Melbourne’s Sofitel on Collins Street for a day of delicious dishes and drinks with some of the countries best chefs, beverage companies and wineries. Get your sample servings of signature dishes while enjoying an evening of entertainment.


Huon Valley Mid-Winter Festival – July 15 to July 17

Do you have a love for apples? For Cider? For Cheese? For History? The historical Huon Valley Mid-Winter Festival might be for you. Located south of Hobart, this mid-season festival is to celebrate the regions apple-pickin’ history. While their may be some shouting at trees, and some bon-fires (well it’s not a festival without those) you can guarantee there will be some feast-worthy grub, oh and cider too. Lots of it.

The Truffle Festival Canberra – June 1 to August 30 2016

Dubbed the ultimate foodie festival, are you up to the challenge? All in the name of celebrating a rare truffle this three-month long festival boasts 150 different events from a range of participating venues to watching truffle-sniffing dogs in action or maybe just a local farmers market, there is something for every foodie down in Canberra.
